Arbor Day

When I was growing up my elementary school commemoratedArbor Day by giving saplings to the fourth graders.   I’m sure we hadsome sort of ceremony/presentation as well but I don’t remember since it was solong ago!  What I do remember is that my Dad dutifully planted those treesand my sisters and I thought it was really cool to see how tall our trees grewover the years.  My parents have since moved, and sadly the house we grewup in was torn down a couple of years ago to build a new one but the trees arestill there!  Now that I’m a parent and see some of the impact climatechange has had on the world I can appreciate the importance of planting thosetrees.  Max and I are planning on doing some planting with our girls too!
