Back to Routine – Running Buddies

Back to school, back to work, back to our typical routine. Quite an adjustment for all of us after a two week, fun filled visit from both our families over the holidays. Getting back into my running routine has been slow. My body (& mind) are resisting that early morning start – it’s dark and cold and getting out from under those covers requires a Herculean effort! This past year I’ve had the good fortune of finding two nearby friends who are committed to running a couple mornings a week. Having a regular schedule with friends has really helped keep me be more consistent with my weekly mileage.  My conscience just won’t let me decide at the last minute to “pass” since I know they are both waiting for me down the road. What are your tricks for sticking with your healthy routines?

Hey, Hi everyone, happy new years.  Love your comments from the past 2 days.  Anyways, to improve my health and to keep my blood pressure down, Ive decided to NOT shop at safeway any more.  Every 9 out of 10 trips into the store, my family gets over -charged on something.  My husband went there on the 3rd, overcharged, I went yesterday, overcharged.  Average time to get money back, 10 to 15 minutes.  Then to have to listen to an employee mumble under their breath, words  basically on the size of my (a...s), Im done!  Id rather go to Mollie stones or mi pueblo.  This also means I wont have to  make like Im studying for an exam i.e.,  3 ads a week, with different exp. dates on same ad, click on this click on that, print out your  choices, so that when the items dont ring up right, you can show the employee, manager, whomever, that yes you added item to your card, no you dont just think you did, yes they can read what you have and it is the right item, size etc.  Aaaah!  My blood pressure will now be back to normal.  This is my health plan.
