CouponLink - New Feature!

Here's some great news, many of the coupons you print from our website, and brought to you by Coupons.com are now available to electronically download to your club card. Not all the "print from home" coupons have the download option yet, but more and more will eventually have it and we just couldn't wait to bring this new feature to you! Just like the Shortcuts, Cellfire, and P&G eSAVER coupons - no more printing and cutting, simply download the savings right to your card and when you make the purchase the savings will automatically be applied to your bill! Once you download your coupons, don't forget to go back to the "print at home" area in the Coupon Center to pick up any additional coupons you may want to print (the ones you've downloaded will automatically show up as "added"). Super Price Coupons will still be available in the weekly ad, and of course there are still the manufacturer coupons that come in the Sunday paper - plenty of ways to save!

I discovered this tonight right before walking out the door to go shopping. It's great! I already use Shortcuts, Cellfire and the P&G esaver, so adding yet another savings option is just icing for me (and a great way to save ink, couponing is not the greenest activity in the world).

It's fun to check out my receipt after shopping and see all the "magic" discounts! Sometimes there are things I forgot I had downloaded! Great idea!

Hi Ali,

I'm so glad you find this additional savings option so helpful and "green"! I agree it's a fun bonus to check out the "magic" savings amount on your receipt after a big grocery run!

I recently received an e-mail - 5/27/11 -  from shortcuts stating as follows:

To our valued members,

Safeway, one of the retail partners for Shortcuts Electronic Coupons, recently informed us that they will no longer be offering the option for consumers to download Electronic Coupons to Safeway brand loyalty cards on other networks. Thus, we regret to inform you that Shortcuts will no longer be allowed to offer electronic coupons for use at Safeway.

However, you can still redeem Shortcuts
Printable Coupons at Safeway AND you can still redeem Shortcuts Electronic Coupons at any of our thousands of participating stores…and even more are coming soon. Don't forget … our Shortcuts Cash Back program can also help you save tons of cash on your online shopping.

Any coupons which are currently on your Safeway card which have not yet expired will continue to be available for use at Safeway until they expire.

We at Shortcuts take our mission of helping you to save money very seriously and will continue to work hard to bring you more savings opportunities. Thank you for being part of our Shortcuts savings community.

I was wondering if this is a fact?? I have not contacted them. I find it interesting that there are those who want to "go green" and this company offered this and now it will possibly be discontinued???

Very interesting.

Block mom, you can still get our digital coupons through Just for U Coupon Center at www.safeway.com. We want our customers to have easier access to more savings all in one place and that’s why we made everything available to you through Just for U Coupon Center. It’s updated every week with over $100 in savings you can add to your Club Card. We hope this helps!
