Spring holds another one of our blended holidays, this time the emphasis is put on Passover, which for us means the Seder dinner is a special holiday meal with a simplified kid friendly ceremony. I’m still working through what our new traditional foods will be, I’ve settled on lamb for the main dish based on the success with last year. The sides are a little more challenging since only unleavened bread may be used which means lots of vegetables (not a bad thing!). We’ll also incorporate one of Max’s traditional favorites, like matzo ball soup, and perhaps my favorite flourless chocolate brownie for dessert. For Easter we’ll be heading over to a friend’s house for a potluck accompanied by an Easter egg hunt for the kids, always a fun time for all of us. What are your plans for the holiday?
