Eating Right Turkey Bacon

I am constantly on the look out for ways to eat healthier. Sometimes this takes the shape of eliminating certain foods from our meals, but frankly, that only lasts so long until we just can’t stand it any longer and “give in”. I’ve found it much easier to find healthier options of the things we love and establish that as “regular” early on, then the girls have the healthier product as their reference point for how it should taste. Turkey bacon is our most recent example win. The girls have probably eaten bacon on a half dozen occasions over their short lifetime. We were craving pancakes one day so I decided to complete the meal with some turkey bacon. It was good and the girls loved it! And only 40 calories and 1 gram of fat per slice (0g saturated fat). This one just might become a “regular” on my weekly shopping list!

This is the best Turkey Bacon on the market bar none.  I have completely replaced regular bacon with this and have offered in to friends all of whom have the same opinion.

Anyone who thinks turkey bacon can't taste good HAS to try this.

I microwave it on a microwave bacon tray (with the ridges - they are cheap to find) and it comes out fabulous.

Kathryn, Thanks for your comment!  Isn't the Eating Right Turkey Bacon just so delectable?  And we can't forget to mention that it's only 40 calories a slice. What a bargain! Actually, that reminds me, I need to get some for this week! Maybe we'll surprise the girls and do "breakfast for dinner" one night.  :-)

Eating Right and Jenney-O have great texture and flavor.  Unfortunately, my Safeway usually only stocks Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon.  The flavor is OK but the texture is like Spam.   My voice alone is not enough to get my Safeway store to order Eating Right or Jenny-O

Hello,

I’m sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding Eating Right and Jenny-O turkey bacon at your local Safeway. You can try requesting these brands on our product suggestion page found here: http://www.safeway.com/IFL/Grocery/Product-Suggestions#iframetop

I hope that helps. :smileyhappy:
