Please help me find the list of participating products for this promotion Ice Age movie tickets. I spent $80 on what I thought were products included only to not get a code for the tickets! Thank you Lisa

by Lorraine-offer(anon) on ‎06-15-2012 02:55 PM

I purchased $40.00 of dairy products in June 2012, but I did not receive a code to enter online for two free movie tickets.  Could there be some kind of a delay in the provision of the code to enter online for tow free movie tickets?

by Barry(anon) on ‎06-16-2012 05:16 AM

Kate -- any chance that the Just for U program will just assess our shopping habits and automatically add savings opportunities, club card offers and coupon offers to our Club Card account without requiring us to visit the website weekly?  For an example of how this works, you could visit the Wegmans website -- they've been mining through the data they collect from customers since the mid-1990s.  Otherwise, I suspect Just for U will die on the vine -- who wants to build up their shopping list online only to have to navigate through it again in the store?

We’d be happy to help, Lisa. Please email us at safewaysocialmedia@safeway.com with your Club Card number.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Lorraine. Please email us at safewaysocialmedia@safeway.com with your Club Card number, so we may look into this further.

Hi, I also purchased over $40 in qualifying products (which also shows as qualifying on my receipt) but did not receive a code to claim the movie tickets. After reading the other comments here, I will send an email to address listed above.

Kate,

The stores I frequent don't had indicators of the participating products. Please post them or direct me to where to find the list.

How do I get the free movie tix for the coupon I received at safeway yesterday

I have a printed coupon but no info as to how to redeem

by caitlan(anon) on ‎06-24-2012 08:34 PM

I also did not recieve a code at checkout for two free movie tickets, it just reset my spending amount after I hit $40.

by TaraB(anon) on ‎06-25-2012 05:29 PM

I also had some trouble. I was wondering if the 40 has to be spent in one trip or if it can be split up? I spent 31 the first time and 12 this time but it only gave me $3.54 towards qualifying purchases even though I bought only products that were on the list and had movie ticket ads on the price tags. It is all very confusing.

by Kevin-Oakland(anon) on ‎06-26-2012 11:05 PM

Today, I went to Safeway and was extremely disappointed that I did not get my Ice Age movie codes when I bought over $40 of participating items in the June Dairy Ice Age promotion.

I am even more upset now that I have read on this blog that other customers have complained about this as early as June 15.  It is now June 26 and Safeway still hasn't fixed the issue.

If somebody reported this issue on June 15th, then the problem/issue should have been fixed on June 15.

Today, I spent 5 minutes trying to explain to the cashier that I should have gotten movie codes.  I got nothing but evil stares from the other customers in line.  Then I spend another 5 minutes calling the customer service number on my Safeway receipt.  Then I get transferred to Catalina Marketing who tells me they may not be able to help me because I don't have a Safeway card number (I only have the phone number that I enter at checkout - my safeway card is so old that the numbers have faded off the card).

I definitely feel bamboozled and victimized.

Hi Lana. Because products vary from store to store, we do not have a list of products eligible towards the June Dairy Month promotion. However, the items should be clearly marked on the shelves with shelf tags, exclaiming which products are included. Please email us at safewaysocialmedia@safeway.com with the store location you are referring to. We'd like to contact the Store Manager. Thanks for your feedback!

by on ‎06-27-2012 12:15 PM

Chris, in order to redeem your movie ticket Catalina Coupon, please visit the box office at the movie theater of your choice and present the coupon. Enjoy the show!

by on ‎06-27-2012 12:15 PM

Caitlin, we appreciate your feedback and apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. We've been informed that Catalina is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it as quickly as possible. They've also advised us that you can contact them at 888-826-8766 or visit support.catalinamarketing.com to fill out an issues form and they will be in contact with you. Thank you for your patience while this issue is being resolved.

by on ‎06-27-2012 12:26 PM

Tara, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. A few of our customers have been experiencing difficulties with the Catalina Coupon not printing at the register. If you could contact Catalina at 1-888-826-8766 or support.catalinamarketing.com, they’d be happy to assist you with this. We apologize for any inconvenience.

by on ‎06-27-2012 03:01 PM

Hi Kevin, we’re sorry to hear that you didn’t receive the promotional movie tickets. Can you please email us at safewaysocialmedia@safeway.com with your  phone number attached to your Club Card, the name on your account and the store location you typically shop at? We’d be happy to further assist you.

by leanne(anon) on ‎06-27-2012 11:31 PM

I just came back from Safeway made my $40 mark but not coupon/code issued?

I went to store tonight just to make sure I purchased a few things to make $40

 Disapointed

  Leanne

by on ‎06-28-2012 11:18 AM

Hi Leanne, we apologize for the inconvenience! Catalina has been made aware of this issue and they are working diligently to assist all customers. Please fill out their issues form at support.catalinamarketing.com and they will get back to you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve these issues.

by Jocelyn Lamb(anon) on ‎06-29-2012 01:42 PM
Hello, I also didn't receive the Catalina after spending the designated $40, so I filled out the form at the Catalina support site. Does anyone know how long it will take for them to reissue the coupon to us (it says they send it by mail). Wondering if by the time they get us the coupon, it will be expired! Thanks, Jocelyn
by kristin(anon) on ‎06-30-2012 08:40 AM

I wasw only short less than $2 to get to the $40 mark.  I went and bought milk today, but it didn't increase my amount.  How could milk not be on the dairy promotion list?   I was very disappointed.
I wanted the two movie ticket.

by Tiffany Kerns(anon) on ‎06-30-2012 06:44 PM

I hit the $40 mark yesterday and instead of getting my two free tickets, the receipt reset to $3.32 toward my free movie vouchers. I have emailed catalina and hoping to get something in the mail. If that does not happen, is there a way to track through my club card and send me the vouchers?

by on ‎07-12-2012 11:54 AM

Hi Jocelyn, while Catalina hasn't provided us with a specific time frame, we can assure you that they are working as quickly as possible to issue coupons out to all customers who experienced difficulties. We appreciate your patience!

by on ‎07-12-2012 11:56 AM

Hi Kristin, only items that were marked as a participating item for this promotion would give you credit towards your movie tickets. If you would like us to check to see if the milk you purchased was a participating item, please email us at safewaysocialmedia@safeway.com with additional details and we will be happy to further assist you.

by on ‎07-12-2012 11:58 AM

We appreciate your feedback, Tiffany. Unfortunately, we are not able to issue or send the free movie vouchers. Catalina is aware of the problems some have experienced with this promotion and they are working to resolve this as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience while this issue is being resolved.

by jacob papile(anon) on ‎07-12-2012 07:12 PM

i also have had the same issue. the first and second times i went in about it, they double checked all the items on my list, then they called the customer service line, but never got an answer, so they had me leave my info. the third time i went in, they gave me the info for catalina marketing, which would be fine, except that the catalina marketing site wants the transaction specifics...which were on the receipt...which the cust service desk kept with my info the second time i went in. i feel like no movie could be worth the amount of rigmarole this has entailed, and would have said, "aw, forget it" if my lovely, but ralph nader-esque wife amanda had not not brought it up repeatedly. fair enough, since it was her club card i used in the first place.

by LaceyL(anon) on ‎07-13-2012 09:50 AM

I too purchased $40 worth of participating dairy products in the month of june. I did not receive the coupon at the register; and when attempting to contact catalina they need information from the reciept i no longer have. I thought my information would be able to be found through my club card number. VERY VERY DISAPOINTED SAFEWAY!!!

by on ‎07-16-2012 04:28 PM

We apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced, LaceyL. Unfortunately, only Catalina Coupon customer service is able to issue the free movie ticket code. Please email us at safewaysocialmedia@safeway.com with your Club Card number. We’d be happy to verify your purchase, so you can follow up with Catalina for further resolution.

by Victoria(anon) on ‎07-17-2012 03:09 PM

This experience has been very frustrating. My Safeway store had issues with giving the coupons to many customers like myself. They took my information and promised to call me back. They never contacted me as promised. I had to contact the store again and after the delay they gave me Catalina website information (with 2 spelling mistakes in the website, I only found it when googled it myself). So I contacted Catalina and was informed that it's been 14 days and they can longer issue coupons. At no time I was informed about 14 days limit. I put a lot of effort to meet the requirements of this promotion and purchase specified products to receive coupons. Got no help from Safeway or Catalina Marketing. Will be reporting both companies to Better Business Bureau.

Victoria, please feel free to email us at safewaysocialmedia@safeway.com so we may help rectify the situation, if it hasn’t already been resolved.

by Alan(anon) on ‎07-26-2012 12:20 AM

Well I guess I have a lot of company here...

I also have been trying to get the two movie vouchers and have called Safeway, both at my local store, and at the 800# and been passed off to Catalina Marketing whom I called, and then filled out their website support form and attached scans of my Safeway receipts to document that I did fulfill the requirements of purchasing $40 in dairy items, yet no movie coupon ever printed out of the coupon machine at the checkout counter.

Within a couple days of my inquiry with Catalina, I received an email with a code to obtain the movie tickets and a website address.    The instructions said to redeem the code for the 2 movie passes by July 31st.

All seemed resolved until I went the website last Saturday to redeem the code for the movies passes and GET THIS !  The code they emailed me doesn't work.    The website gave me an error message which said the code didn't match the name and address in their records.

This past Monday, I emailed Catalina Marketing and no response.    I think I've spent a few hours trying to get these two movie passes and honestly I am beyond frusturated with Safeway and Catalina Marketing.     I have to wonder how many other people besides me never received the movie tickets that were advertised in this promo.    I'm guessing many, like hundreds, or thousands of customers.    Come on Safeway, get it together... and get us the movie passes.
