Love my Single Serve Coffee Pod!

As the only coffee drinker in my home I was thrilled when a Keurig machine showed up under the Christmas tree.  I’d been using the camping method for years – a teakettle to boil the water and a filter lined funnel apparatus to make my coffee - but only on weekends because it took way too long during the week.  Now in less than 2 minutes I have a great cup of coffee ready to go.  I love the variety of flavors & brands available so I can mix it up every once in a while – even tea and cocoa!  It just became more affordable too with the Safeway Select coffee pods – great coffee and so convenient!

Just to give a heads up, if you live in elevation......when you put your pod into the maker.... push down until you hear a "pop". This prevents the coffee from shooting up into the coffee maker. You can call them to find out how to unclog the machine if this happens, but it's better to know in advance. You will find your coffee maker making smaller and smaller cups of coffee.

I love the idea of the single serve coffee makers, my husband is the only coffee drinker in my house and if we brew a whole pot much goes to waste. My objection to the K-cup brewers is that the K-cups are so expensive! Even pouring half a pot of coffee away is less expensive than buying K-cups. Also, they produce a lot of waste.
