On-line Coupons

I’ve always been a coupon clipper and one of the first things I do when I go through Sunday’s paper is read the ads.  I enjoy looking for new products and finding “good coupons” ($0.50 or higher for me) for things I already purchase.  When Safeway launched their on-line coupons it was a no-brainer to add that to my weekly routine – another easy way to save some money at the store.  There are actually two types – “esavers” – P&G coupons you select which are then loaded right onto your Club Card.  Nothing to print, clip or remember to bring to the store, they redeem automatically when you purchase the product.  Then there’s the “regular” on-line coupons where you print the coupons selected and bring them into the store, as you would any other coupon.  These have been great too as there are typically 50-60 coupons across a wide range of categories  - including fresh fruits & vegetables, meat & seafood, deli, and even flowers!  These are exclusive offers for Safeway – check it out!

Coupons are not something I've done much because I rarely buy name brands and there are not usually coupons for fresh ingredients (lettuce, raw chicken etc) but this I will give a try. I would like a printer friendly version of the shopping list, I don't need pictures and it's hard to use if there are to many unsorted pages. Thanks

I' m not just a coupon clipper... I'm more of a coupon freak!  I love the idea of less paper wasted since the esaver P&G coupons can be loaded to my club card, why can't Safeway's on-line coupons be loaded?

I like safeway stores, however in our family there are only my wife/myself. What causes me to shop other local markets is the fact that some signs in the store say how many of a product I must buy in order to get the better price. I have no use for 2 gallons of milk or 4 bottles of soda at one time, therefore I am forced to move onto the next store in order to buy what I feel I can afford. I doubt if I am the only one that feels this way.

I love this company but am having trouble today trying to get my son's first free birthday cake.  I ordered the 1/4 sheet cake for today's party, but can't get the other.  Please when will the coupon be available on-line ?  Or is a coupon needed.

Thank You

sincerly

Hi Eva,

We offer the baby's first birthday cake with the purchase of a quarter sheet or larger cake, so baby get's their very own cake. It is a petite cake decorated like a baby block. Most customers will receive a coupon in the mail, but if you don't, you can still get your free cake by mentioning it when you order your quarter sheet or larger. Presently the coupon is not on Safeway.com, but I will be speaking with some of our advertising people to find out if that is an option. So stop by your neighborhood Safeway bakery and order your quarter sheet or larger birthday cake and mention the baby's first birthday block cake and get ready to take some great video's of your son "digging" in to his very own first birthday cake.

Hello,

I’m sorry to hear for your trouble. You can request the coupon by calling our customer service center at 1-877-723-3929. Our customer service reps have access to the form that needs to be filled out to request the free cake coupon; which will be mailed to you. If the timeline is too tight to wait for the coupon by mail, you can request that our customer service reps contact the Store Manager on your behalf and request that the promotion be honored.

Let me know how this works out for you.

Thank you.

its personalized coupon lets me but my regular stuff and knowing that it is discounted... WAY TO GO SAFEWAY... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

P.S. if you dont want to bring a printed copy of your to-buy-list.... just email your list and open your email while your shopping... you just need a latest phone to do this (android or iphone) or better yet bring your i-pad tablet along....

Is Safeway developing an iphone/android ap for "just for you" deals? That would be amazing!

by on ‎11-10-2011 01:41 PM

BilboanGimli, we have indeed released an iphone ap for the Just For U program in our Dominick’s division.  In the very near future, we hope to expand this capability to android users and shoppers in other markets.

by Confused Mom(anon) on ‎09-12-2012 05:16 PM

It was my understanding that I could use manufacturer coupons along with the Just for U savings at Safeway.  Today one of my purchases wouldn't accept my manufacturer coupon because I already used a "mfg" coupon.  I was disappointed for the first time with this new savings concept.  Any suggestions, helpful hints or other?

by on ‎09-13-2012 04:39 PM

Thank you for your inquiry, Confused Mom and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We do accept one store coupon and one manufacture coupon for the same item; however, we do not allow multiple manufacturer or store coupons for the same item. Our Just for U program contains both digital manufacturer coupons and digital store coupons. Specific price offers (example: Cheerios for $2.99) are typically store coupons. Manufacturer coupons will typically have an amount off offer (examples: buy two boxes of Cheerios save $1.00; $0.35 off Cheerios). We hope this helps!
