Resolving to Eat Better with O Organics™

One of my new year’s resolutions is to eat more fruit and vegetables and I struggle with this. I actually like fruits and veggies, that’s not the problem. It’s just the poor things usually sit for days on my countertop or in the fridge and then when I go to eat them, I’m usually greeted by spoiled food. Fortunately, there’s O Organic™ frozen fruits and vegetables. Even better, I have a freezer. So, they stay perfectly preserved and I have ongoing access to fruits and veggies that are unadulterated by synthetic pesticides and genetic modification. And of course, I get to achieve at least one New Year’s resolution! Here’s a recipe for a fun drink using O Organic™ ingredients. It’s quick and simple and you’ll be consuming a glassful of nutrition in one delicious dose.

STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE

• 1/2 cup O Organics low-fat or nonfat milk
• 1 package (16 oz.) O Organics frozen whole strawberries, defrosted slightly
• 1 banana, chopped
• 1/4 cup frozen apple juice concentrate
• 1 to 2 tablespoons flax seed oil, optional
• 1 teaspoon (6 grams) organic berry green supplement, optional

Put all items into blender container in order listed. Blend until smooth. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.

I'm loving the expanding O Organics brand, and the increase in organic products as Safeway.  My husband became totally attached to the O Organics Marmalade, which was delicious.  He's a marmalde guy, not a jam/preserves guy in the morning.  Please bring back the O Organics Marmalade -- it is a fabulous product!  Sheryl
