Signature Cafe 6 Layer Dip Wins!

DIP.pngI discovered a new snack, well, new for me that is, as it’s been around a while – Signature Café 6 Layer Dip.  I decided to give it a try after reading the Tasters Choice review in the San Francisco Chronicle earlier in the year – it beat out the other brands by a long shot.   The panelists; chefs, food writer, cookbook author, & a recipe developer thought it “had 'the best flavor' of the bunch, with a 'nice blend of heat,' 'good spices,' and a 'strong chili bean flavor.'"  The Signature Café 6 Layer Dip has layers of refried beans, guacamole, garden salsa, creamy salsa, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese – goes great with tortilla or corn chips.

This Just for U is really nothing more than a way to compile a grocery list...fairly useless.  Everything offered on the weekly special is available at the store with your club card anyway.  The actual coupons (required at checkout to receive the discount) on the final page of the weekly flyer don't "list out" on the right hand column, you can't select them and add them to your card for use at the checkstand, and you can't print them (well, they print but without the bar code so that's also useless).  Won't be wasting my time on this new gimmick.  I was told this Just for U would add coupons to my card so I would have them when I needed them.  That's actually not true at all and I already know how to make a grocery list.

Hi Francine, we're sorry to hear you're having difficulties with our just for U program! You can certainly add coupons to your Club Card and they will automatically come off when you swipe your card at checkout. We recommend deleting your cookies and browsing history, opening a new browser and then giving it another try. If you still cannot add the coupons, please email us at safewaysocialmedia@safeway.com with your Club Card number, name on your account and the store location you frequent. We would be happy to help you troubleshoot.

It looks good to me.  I've added my coupons and emailed a list of them to my phone.

The sale prices are good on some things that my family needs, they look lower than the normal sale prices.  And it's easier for me to do this online than on paper.  I'll check back tonight with a report.

I don't work for Safeway by the way; just a shopper.  I also shop at some other stores faithfully too.  If this works as well as it looks and if the sale prices stay low like this I will certainly choose Safeway more often.
