Springtime is here, and so are all of the delicious fruits!
There’s no better smell in the air then fresh, juicy strawberries. My whole
family loves strawberries- in a fruit bowl or alone, or our favorite, cut up
with a dash of sugar. Adding sugar just makes them all the more sweet, like
you’re eating candy! Make sure when you pick up strawberries from the store
that they are a vibrant red with green stems, because they don’t ripen anymore
after they’re picked. Once you have brought strawberries home, store them in a
moisture proof container with just a single paper towel covering the berries.
Eat them within 2 to 3 days, or they will lose their freshness, and only wash
them when you’re ready to eat the fruit.
