Getting Ready for Halloween!

by Kate on 10-21-2009 08:18 AM

The girls have been on me this year to get our house ready for Halloween. Some of our neighbors started putting their decorations up at the end of September, so in my kids’ eyes I’m “way behind”. I thought all was going to be ok when I finally hung our ghosts and spider outside only to find that some of our neighbors have decided to kick it up a notch and create elaborate scenes on their front yards – graveyards, ten foot inflatables – Halloween is starting to approach Christmas with all the outdoor decorations! For us though, simplicity drives everything so we’re going to stick with our ghosts, cobwebs, and spiders. Carved pumpkins too once we get to the pumpkin patch. What do you do for Halloween?

Halloween is a really fun holiday for the kids , it gives my girls a chance to be there own production and play any part they want. I remember when it was always the princess, then we moved on to more original ideas such as a renasants kid or a giant bag of mm's but my favorite was when they blew up about 30 white balloons stuck em on and went as bubble bath! That was cute.

Those are all great costume ideas, thanks for sharing. I really love the bubble bath idea, how creative! Have they decided on costumes for this Halloween?

Whoo!! I love  halloween. This year I am dressing up as a "chick magnet" (just a big magnet with some chicks [little chickens] stuck on it) I think is going to be fun
